If you are from a rural area in Swansea then you’re in for a treat.

Swansea Youth Service and the Welsh Assembly has bought a new van and put some nice kit onboard for young people’s enjoyment.

The vehicle is out and about visiting places to meet up with young people who would like somewhere to go and have something to do.

The Youth Express is equipped with stuff like an XBox (and games: DJ / Guitar Hero, Lips and FIFA 2010), a Nintendo Wii, Wii Fit and more games for you and your friends to have fun with.

You can also access two computers (Apple MiniMacs) with Internet access and Word for writing CVs and letters, presentations for school, homework or for your job. If you have creative flare for video editing you can produce short films and post them straight onto YouTube.

The Youth Express will have two youth workers (funded by the European Union (EAFRD) and Welsh Assembly Government) onboard to support young people and offer signposting to further opportunities in a safe and comfortable space.

So, if you see us parked up in the Gower, Pontarddulais, Mawr, Penclawdd, Fairwood, Pennard, Bishopston or Llangyfelach just pop in, say hello and enjoy!
