We want everyone to have the chance to do what they want in life without being held back by what makes us different. We know you want this too. So this year we want you to imagine what the world would look like if we lived without prejudice.

If you're 11-19 years old and live in England, Scotland or Wales, then you can enter Young Brits at Art.

How to enter

You can submit many kind of artwork, including paintings, drawings, photography, videos, animation and sound. See the full entry rules >

The deadline for submission is Wednesday 24 March 2010. From January, you'll be able to find out how to send us your artwork through the web.

As well as your art, you'll have to write a short explanation of what inspired you and how you feel about your artwork.

You can send us your own entry or work together in a group, at your school, youth group or other community group (but you can only enter once!). Your teacher can also run a session on Young Brits at Art (send them a link to this page).

What happened last year?

In 2008/9, almost 1,700 pictures were sent in on the topic of what young people thought and felt about living in Britain today.

The top 100 pictures were displayed on our website and the top 10 came to a star-studded awards ceremony hosted by E4 Music's Sarah-Jane Crawford. See pictures and video from about last year's awards >

Stephanie Winn, one of the top three winners, said about the competition:

"I felt I managed to send out a positive message about discrimination and I hope I've encouraged other young people to create a piece of art that speaks from the heart."
