Swansea Young Single Homeless Project
Have you heard of the Swansea Young Single Homeless Project?
It is a partnership with young people, staff and volunteers that is managed by a voluntary management committee.
The project enables young people with housing issues to take up their rights, to help young people to develop skills needed to live independently and to be active members of their community.
The project, known by its initials as SYSHP, has young people in the "throes" of Independent Living as mentors, who attend workshops with young people aged fourteen and above so they will be aware of what they're up against when the time comes.
The workshops are in a safe, confidential and fun environment with plenty of interaction.
Billy Williams, who is the Independent Living Mentor at SYSHP, is looking to provide training for young people aged 14+. The workshops will be carried out on Thursday evenings.
Interested? Brilliant, you can email Billy on B.Williams@syshp.org.uk for more information.
