Swans Song
I am 51-years-old and have been a Swansea City fan all my life.
I have followed my beloved team since right back when the Swans nearly went out of the league altogether, to the present day when they sit proudly amongst the best teams in the Premiership.
I have followed the ups and downs of Swansea City and have written a few songs about the club.
The first song was called Oh Swansea City and has had well over 3000 hits on youtube.
Others include a tribute to the ex-Swansea City player Robbie James, who died suddenly in 1998 at a match as player-manager for Llanelli, with a heart attack at the young age of 40. He made more than 400 appearances for the Swans and was a Welsh international.
My latest song is about the new and exciting Dutch international goalkeeper Michel Vorm. He has been an instant success at the Liberty Stadium this season. So much so that I had to write a song about him.
Hopefully one day my songs will be sung by the Swansea faithful at one of the games, but for now it is just a dream.
To listen to my other songs please check out my YouTube page. Thank you!

The site is usually written by 11 to 25-year-olds but we always welcome some intergenerational creative content!
Thanks for sharing, Derek - your passion and dedication to the cause is admirable, and the Swans achievements have been incredible. Good luck in the Premiership Swansea!
