Student's Thai Boxing Title
Gower College Swansea student Sophie Moore has scooped the Welsh Ladies Thai Boxing title [52kg class.]
Sophie, a second year Sports Science student, is part of the college’s Sports Scholarship programme, which offers opportunities for students to compete in elite sport while working towards a qualification of their choice.
“We are all really delighted for Sophie,” says lecturer Jayne Bateman. “She has worked so hard to juggle her college studies with her training commitments and she thoroughly deserves her success.”
The ex-Cefn Hengoed Community School pupil is now looking to defend her title over the coming months and possibly move up to challenge for higher honours.
