Love letters are no longer written, stamped and addressed; they're typed and sent.

Our entire memories have been immortalised through photographs, emails and conversation history. How personal is our computer, when we get down to it?

Recently a significant other read through a (rather personal) conversation history with an ex boyfriend. Where is the line drawn? Have we become so accustomed to the digital age that now going through somebody's computer is the same as going through their drawers?

Tell me, are you the same? The Government certainly think so. If they've got a warrant to search your house, they'll go through both your drawers and go into your hard drive. That's never happened to me, though.

Sometimes I hate technology, I really do. It's as if the entire romantic and love lives of not just I but millions of teenagers are somewhere floating on these connected wires and electronical goods we use every day for Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, Twitter, Reddit... it's everywhere.

Has romance become obselete?

We're the kids that are brought up on programmes like Skins, read Kruger magazine and regularly go to parties and gigs for some sort of an emotional outlet after school, work, college et al.

Now the moral of the game is not one of courtship, it's just a race to see who can get lucky first, and it's getting old.

How many of us have actually received a love letter, or fallen in love with someone?

It's made me think, you know. Maybe having physical memories are just as good - if not better - than the old crap that I keep on the C:// drive on my HP laptop.
