Election & AV Results
Yesterday may have been a first for some of you, while some of you may yet not be old enough but are still interested nonetheless.
Yesterday was election day, and in Wales we had three different votes. A vote for the candidate representing your constituency in the National Assembly, a vote for a party or individual candidate to represent your region, and a vote in the referendum on the voting system (you may have heard the acronyms AV and FPTP being bandied about).
Have you found out what the results are in your region yet? Well here is CLIC’s definitive list (once all the results are in!) of who, what and where in the 2011 elections, including whether the candidate/party have held their seat or if another candidate/party gained the seat instead.
(Scroll further down for regional party/candidates and AV Referendum results)

Not even Cardiff Central voted Yes to AV?
Great that's knocked all talk of propositional representation on the head for 20 years and my vote being wasted in general elections for the next 20 years.

Can I ask one question, which may make me look rather idiotic an all that jazz. The results for the AV referendum... why are some of them not 100%?
Like, look at Ogmore - Yes - 43.43% No - 65.58%
That adds up to 109.01%. And I thought that it was rather hard to get 100%
Same goes to Aberavon - Yes - 25.67% No - 64.33% adding up to 89%, meaning that 11% is missing...
Am I missing something? Is there some way that they count the votes differently? If it's something obvious, don't judge me. =].

yes, PR is many moons away by the looks of things- could be centuries until we get a fair voting system
