English version

Mae Cyngor y DU ar Ddiogelwch Plant ar y Rhyngrwyd wedi lansio ymgyrch newydd i helpu pobl ifanc gadw’n ddiogel pan maent ar-lein. Mae Clicio’n Glyfar Clicio’n Ddiogel yn anelu at gadw pobl ifanc yn ddiogel drwy dair o brif negeseuon: Pwyllwch, Blociwch a Rhannwch.

Pwyllwch – Cadwch wybodaeth bersonol i chi eich hun
Wrth ddefnyddio’r we, peidiwch â dosbarthu gwybodaeth bersonol. Gall gwybodaeth bersonol fel eich enw neu ffotograffau eich adnabod chi a’r lle rydych yn byw yn hawdd a gall hyn eich rhoi chi mewn perygl os bydd unigolion gyda bwriadau drwg yn cael gafael arnynt.

Mae gwybodaeth na ddylech ei dosbarthu yn cynnwys:

  • Ffotograffau, oherwydd gellir eu defnyddio i’ch adnabod chi a lle rydych yn byw.
  • Eich enw llawn. Defnyddiwch lysenw yn lle enw llawn pan ydych ar-lein.
  • Eich cyfeiriad. Does dim angen i unrhyw un wybod hwn felly peidiwch fyth â’i roi.
  • Enw eich ysgol. Gall hyn roi syniad i bobl am ble rydych yn byw.
  • Rhifau ffôn. Cadwch eich sgwrs ar-lein.
  • Llefydd yr ydych yn hoffi mynd iddyn nhw. Gall hyn eto ddatgelu lle rydych yn byw.
  • Cyfrineiriau. Peidiwch fyth â’u rhoi oherwydd y gall pobl fod yn chi ar-lein a defnyddio eich gwybodaeth bersonol.

Blociwch – Peidiwch â goddef cam-drin

  • Os bydd rhywun yn eich targedu i’ch cam-drin, peidiwch fyth â goddef eu hymddygiad. Blociwch nhw.
  • Os derbyniwch negeseuon e-bost gyda dolennau neu atodiadau oddi wrth bobl nad ydych yn eu hadnabod, mae cyfle fod y ddolen neu’r atodiad yn cynnwys firws. Dilëwch yr e-bost a blociwch yr anfonwr.
  • Os ydych yn dal i dderbyn negeseuon ebrwydd neu e-bost oddi wrth rywun nad ydych yn dymuno clywed ganddyn nhw, peidiwch â goddef hyn a blociwch yr unigolyn hwnnw.

Rhannwch – Dywedwch wrth rywun
Os gallwch weld unrhyw beth ar-lein sy’n eich poeni, os bydd ar rywun eisiau eich cyfarfod oddi ar-lein neu yn peri problemau i chi, yna siaradwch â rhywun yr ydych yn ymddiried ynddo/ynddi fel tiwtor, athro neu riant. Os nad ydych yn teimlo y gallwch siarad â rhywun ond bod arnoch angen cyngor, gallwch ffonio Childline ar 0800 1111 neu ymweld â’r Ganolfan Camfanteisio ar Blant a'u Hamddiffyn Ar-lein.

Mae’r rhyngrwyd yn declyn pwerus ac mae dysgu sut i’w ddefnyddio yn rhan bwysig o addysg fodern a dyna pam fod y llywodraeth yn ystyried cyflwyno gwersi fel rhan o’r cwricwlwm. Canfu pleidlais gan yr elusen Beatbullying fod 57% o bobl ifanc yn cael eu poeni wrth ddefnyddio gwasanaeth negesydd.

Ydych chi wedi cael unrhyw broblemau wrth syrffio ar-lein? Oes yna rywun wedi gofyn i chi am wybodaeth bersonol neu wedi anfon negeseuon ymosodol atoch? Rhowch wybod i ni sut y gwnaethoch ymdrin ag ef drwy bostio sylw isod.

I use the internet all the time and I have three things to say about this:

1) Most of this stuff is obvious. I'm not saying you shouldn't warn people about the dangers, but don't be so paranoid. I have my photos and my name on Facebook and it says I live in Cardiff but that doesn't mean I should be scared of being murdered. Plus you can change the privacy settings if you really get scared of that. Its PARENTS who need educating about the internet, not us.

2) Calling it 'zip it' is really misleading. People who see the poster on bus stops but haven't read the explanation will think it means you should .ZIP a dodgy email attachment, which would involve downloading it which is how it infects your PC. This was obviously written by some government people who've never actually used a computer in their life.

3) Why have you put loads of Welsh before this? Trust me, nobody is going to read stuff on your site if they have to scroll down two pages before we get to the English. There's probably no comments on this because most people thought the whole story was just in Welsh and didn't bother reading.

Hi Pasternak,

Regarding your third point, CLIC is bilingual and sometimes the Welsh precedes the English.

However, we are in the process of developing separate Welsh and English pages for all news within CLIC. This will be happening in a few weeks so please bear with us!

I have a also added a note to this article directing readers to the English lower down.

Thank you for your input.

Hello Pasternak,

Thanks for your comments and well spotted with the English and Welsh, I understand the CLIC team are working on the separation of the Welsh and English Articles at the moment (perhaps you have a future in web development and new media?).

I agree most of the stuff stated is obvious but that doesn't stop people from making these mistakes as in the recent CLIC article Facebook Dangerous (www.cliconline.co.uk/en/news/facebook-dangerous/01559.html) points out. With the Zip it issue, I agree that most people associate zip with 'compressed' file formats to give it its industry name (there are many more formats than .zip).

The government are trying to aim for a catch phrase to keep it in the mind of young people - Zip it, Block it, Flag it. These types of catchphrases are successful in helping people remember important messages, which can help them make a decision if they find themselves in a difficult situation. That being said, it all depends on if the government consulted young people about the campaign. Perhaps a question you could ask your local MP?

Keep the comments coming,

Mand

Pasternak, I totally agree with your first two points, but what about Welsh peeps? It's nice for us to find Welsh coming first for once!

Got something to say?
