All About Swansea Youth Bank
Swansea Youth Bank is a group of young people aged 11-25 who meet up once a week to discuss funding for youth led community projects.
We have funding available (up to £2000 per application/group) which we allocate to groups who send up applications, these groups should be aiming to benefit the wider community and promote volunteering.
We read through and discuss applications and decide as a group which projects we want to pitch. A pitch is sort of like Dragons' Den, with a few Youth Bankers listening to why you think we should fund you.
We are here to support you, so there's no reason to feel intimidated or embarrassed, and if you feel too shy to pitch we can accommodate for this by having an interview style pitch instead.
We have funded all sorts of projects and groups so everyone is welcome!
Youth Bank enables young people to gain new life experiences, confidence and responsibility while helping others to improve their communities. If you don't feel like setting up your own project you can always pop into SCVS on Walter Road, Swansea and ask for an appointment with Flik (or call on 01792 544000) and you could become a new member of Youth Bank itself!
