  • Informally, table tennis is also known as ping pong
  • It can be played in singles and doubles. Games are played until one of the players reaches 11 points
  • Normally local league teams have three to four members, but two-a-side leagues are becoming more popular
  • Polybat has been adapted from table tennis for people with disabilities

Snooker

  • Snooker is a two-player sport played on a large snooker table with six pockets
  • It is played using a cue, one white ball, 15 red balls and six coloured balls, with each colour carrying a different number of points. All red balls must be potted before the players can attempt to pot the coloured balls
  • The player who has scored the most points when all the balls have been potted is the winner

Pool

  • Pool is similar to snooker, except with seven red balls, seven yellow balls as well as one white ball and one black ball
  • It is also played on a much smaller table and is a popular pub sport

Air Hockey

  • Air hockey is a game for two players played on a rectangular table top
  • The players use a hand-held circular baton to knock a puck towards the opponents' goal
  • The game is timed and the highest number of goals wins
