- Squash is played between two players, each using a racket, with a ball in a walled court
- The players must hit the ball against the wall between two marked lines
- Only the person who served the ball can score points. When a server wins a rally, they score one point

- Children can use a foam ball to start with which is slightly larger than a normal, rubber squash ball. Mini or junior rackets are also available for children
- When playing squash, you should wear light clothing and white soled sports shoes to avoid marking the floor
