Why has Primeval ended?

Why was it so messed up this year?

They killed all the cast from the past two years off, like Stephen Hart ( James Murray), one of the best characters in the whole show.

Also in the third series they killed off Nick Cutter, the main character. Helen had no reason to go and kill her husband, it was really stupid and pointless.

I really think Primeval went down hill. Last year's series was brilliant and I watched it over and over again, but this year's series was boring and I didn't watch one episode again.

I can prove this: Series one viewer average 6.39 million / series two viewer average: 6.28 million / series three viewer average: 4.99 million.

See the massive difference? Series three went completely downhill.

They got rid of too many of the old cast:
James Murray as Stephen Hart
Douglas Henshall as Nick Cutter
Lucy Brown as Claudia Brown + Jenifer Lewis
Julliet Aubery as Helen Cutter
Mark Wakeling as Captain Tom Ryan

This is too many of the old cast gone, and all of them were really good actors and actresses.

Next year there won't be a Primeval series four because of this year's bad results, and leaving the last episode on a cliffhanger has left us as viewers unhappy with the way things have ended.
